Terms and Conditions of Sale

1. Scope
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (the “Terms”) exclusively govern the contractual relationship between any non-professional user of the website chainonbijoux.fr (the “customer”) and SAS Chaînon, a simplified joint-stock company with a share capital of €1,000, whose registered office is at 38 avenue Gambetta, 75020 Paris, France, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 940 964 711 (“Chaînon”). Chaînon’s contact details are as follows:

By approving the quote issued after the discussions relating to the order between the customer and Chaînon, the customer accepts these Terms without reservation.
2. Products and personalisation
The jewellery offered by Chaînon is made to order, designed by the Chaînon team according to the reliefs chosen by the customer. The design is then approved by the customer and the piece is made in the size specified by the customer. This step is crucial since, once the quote has been approved, the jewellery can no longer be modified. As made-to-measure creations, they cannot be returned or exchanged (see article 5).
3. Orders
The customer places an order via the contact form or by email at contact@chainonbijoux.fr. They then discuss with the Chaînon team to personalise their piece. This is when they choose the relief, the style and the size. A quote is then issued. By signing it, the customer accepts these Terms. Once the order has been approved and the quote signed, the order is considered final and requires payment by the customer. It is then no longer possible to change the design or the nature of the order, nor the size. A confirmation is sent by email. SAS Chaînon reserves the right to refuse an order in the event of a payment problem or technical impossibility.
4. Production and delivery times
— Production: each ring is made to order, with an estimated lead time of one month after payment is confirmed.
— Delivery: orders are shipped by a carrier to be specified.
— Delivery costs: delivery costs are included in the sale price for mainland France and Europe.
— Customs duties for shipments outside mainland France: payable by the customer.
SAS Chaînon cannot be held responsible for delays caused by the carrier.
5. Returns and refunds policy
As the product is approved by the customer when ordering, no returns, exchanges or refunds are accepted. As each piece is unique, it is carefully checked before shipping. In the event of an error on our part (wrong product), we will cover the cost of the return. In the event of an error on the customer’s part, Chaînon reserves the right to refuse any change to the order, or to charge an additional fee if a change is accepted after the order has been approved and paid.
6. Payment
The price is payable in full, in cash, when the customer approves the quote.
The order is paid by bank transfer after the quote has been approved.
Payment data is encrypted using the protocol defined by the approved payment provider handling bank transactions on the website chainonbijoux.fr.
Payments made by the customer will only be considered final once the sums due have actually been received by Chaînon. Chaînon is not obliged to deliver the product ordered by the customer if the customer has not paid the full price under the conditions set out above.
7. Warranties and liability
Sterling silver jewellery is made with care and meets quality standards. No warranty covers normal wear, scratches, natural oxidation or damage caused by misuse (see Care advice).
8. Transfer of ownership – transfer of risk
Ownership of the products is transferred to the buyer once the buyer has paid the price, regardless of the delivery date of the products.
In accordance with article L216-4 of the French Consumer Code, the risk of loss and damage is only transferred when the buyer takes physical possession of the products.
9. Intellectual property
All content on the Chaînon website (illustrations, texts, labels, trademarks, images, videos) is the property of Chaînon. Any partial or total reproduction of the content by any means and on any medium is subject to Chaînon’s prior express authorisation. Chaînon cannot give you permission to copy, display or distribute any content for which you do not hold intellectual property rights. Any use of this content in breach of third-party rights constitutes counterfeiting, severely punished by the French Intellectual Property Code. Chaînon cannot in any case be held responsible for a buyer’s infringement of third-party rights committed through the buyer’s activities on the website.
10. Personal data protection
Data collected during an order is used only for the purposes of the transaction and is never sold. In accordance with the GDPR, the customer may request the modification or deletion of their personal information at any time.
11. Applicable law and disputes
These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first.
